DANCE
The Be Skilled Be Fit Dance Program exposes students to numerous dance styles so that a range of skills and movements can be learnt across stages. Our qualified and experienced staff teach a selection of dance styles so that your students are kept active, engaged and motivated throughout the entire term.
Pre-Stage 1 - Introduction to dance and movement. Through fun and energetic songs students are engaged learning basic co-ordination skills, rhythmic patterns, directions and movement of different body parts. Most routines are performed individually so that students become aware of personal space and movement to music.
Stage 1 - Students are exposed to and learn about performing simple dance sequences both individually and with a partner to a theme.
Stage 2 - Students are challenged as they are introduced to more complex individual dances, progressive partner dances and a broader range of dance styles.
Stage 3 - Greater emphasis is placed on students focus on competence, technique, style and quality of movement. Students can appreciate and explore all 3 avenues of dance; performance, composition and appreciation.
